
How do I ride the Bike Bus?
The Bike Bus works like a normal bus stop.

1) There are designated routes and stops with specific pick up times. Find your route.
​
2) Show up anywhere along the route and join the 'bus'.
​
3) The Bike Bus will ride once a week during the fall while the weather is nice. Check the schedule for our Bike Bus days.

Do I need to sign up before riding?
No, you do not need to register or sign up in advance- just show up and ride.

Does the Bike Bus drop my kid off after school?
No, currently the Bike Bus is only riding in the mornings to school.

Can my child ride without their parent/caregiver?
Children attending GES, GMS, and GHS who can independently ride their own bike can join the bike bus without a parent/caregiver. Each route will have adult Bike Captains escorting the bike bus.
Lake school students need a caregiver to ride with them.

Does my child need a helmet? What if they don't have one?
Yes, every child needs a helmet to ride. If you do not have one, please contact us and we'll provide a helmet for free.

What if I am late?
Regular riders can share their phone number with the Bike Captains and text them when running late, they'll wait.

What if my bike breaks down during the ride?
Our Bike Captains will be there to support you and make sure you get to school safely. Sometimes things happen, but don't let worry prevent you from joining us and having fun.
